Hello all,
We just went through a transfer audit from XXX to BSI and the new registrar accepted the previous schedule for auditing since they are all pretty much auditing the same systems (ISO 13485, medical devices).
We had a one day Meet & Greet, and after the auditor followed up on the open actions (previous findings) we were done. The reason we changed was because we did not feel that we were getting the full value from the previous registrar. Sometimes, the Auditor becomes too familiar with your operation, and this can be a disadvantage to you. A new set of eyes, a new way of thinking is not neccessarily a bad thing. You may have a finding that has never been brought to your attention before, (we did) and you may find that it is actually a good opportunity for growth (albeit somewhat painful initially).
Again, we chose to make a change rather than having it mandated from management, however, in my opinion a change is not neccessarily a bad thing.
Good Luck!
