Investigating New Inspection Systems in the Automotive Industry

I'm investigating about new inspection and control systems or technologies which are being used specially in automotive industry. The scope of study is including any kind of modern measurement, inspection or control systems which are employed inside the manufacturing process or for the finished cars.
I would be appreciated, if you share your experience and information with me, even if it's a web address or a document.
