Yeah - I see a lot of people are disappointed with the air print implementation. I wouldn't use it much (if at all) with my iPhone, and I won't invest in an iPad (for development use, of course) until I see a camera or 2 like the iPhone. I can see air print as important to many people, especially iPad users. I was surprised it won't connect to shared printers. I did read about a couple of "work arounds" but one I tried didn't work for me. It sounds like it was removed from the Mac OS 10.6.5, but people with a pre-release developers version can copy 3 files over to the Mac with a Mac OS 10.6.5 release install. I don't have the files so I don't know if it really fixes the problem of connecting to shared printers or not. I have an HP CP4005dn printer connected by USB to an Airport Express and I can print to it from my PCs and other Macs, so I have a hard time believing it's that hard for Apple to implement. I *think* the other computers (including the PCs) are using Bonjour to connect to the shared printer. I have the printer set up on my main iMac and share it from there.
