IQ/OQ on device used to calibrate digital indicator

Team,
We purchased a new equipment ( Mehr Optimar 100 ICM) to perform in house calibration of our digital indicators. Do we have to perform an IQ/OQ for this equipment, is any requirements (guidelines) which i can refer to?

You should rely on your work instructions and requirements per your company.

Typically OQ is not needed(I say typically due to not knowing your quality system), but IQ should be done to ensure the equipment is installed and set-up correctly prior to you using it to perform Calibrations.

Outside of those two things please read through your QS Requirements to see if any additional testing is needed on the equipment after installation.
