Is ISO/TS16949 Extension Available?

Our annual surveillance audit is scheduled for late summer 2017. We are working towards IATF16949 certification. I do not feel we will meet the criteria by the time of the scheduled audit. Our current certificate expires in Feb. 2018. Is a one year extension available on the ISOTS16949 standard? This way we could be re-audited to the IATF16949 in the spring/summer giving us time to correct any non conformance's found before ISOTS16949 extension: would expire.

None of the third party registrars are allowed to audit to TS 16949 after October 1, 2017 based on the latest IATF Transition Strategy, 11/21/2016.
