Is MSA required during 20min. Prototype manufacturing of eVTOL Motors?

Hello Dear All,

Need suggestion. Two questions:

We are an aerospace industry building eVTOL Motors and in Prototype stage aiming for MRL5/6. Most of the components are manufactured by our „NEW“ suppliers and sub-suppliers of ISO9001 certified majorly (fast make).

01. During the manufacturing of 20 prototypes (MRL5/6), Do we need to consider conducting MSA? Is it beneficial during this stage? Or beneficial in Production stage only?

02. Incase, If the sub-suppliers are conducting MSA, us it a good approach to skip incoming inspection at our Tier1 Suppliers?

Please suggest.

I am not from your industry but I think if you need to believe your measurement numbers for a specification you should check the measurement system. If it doesn't matter if you meet spec. you don't need to. Likewise checking supplied materials. If you need to know they are good you need to check. If it doesn't matter then you don't. Just my thoughts on the issue.
