Is there a requirement for Management Review Meeting under BRC?

I understand that under ISO 9001 a face-to-face meeting for Management Review is not a requirement? Is there a requierement for BRC v6 Management Review to be achomplished through a meeting, and therefore, the review must be minuted?

I am not an expert but we were certified to it while waiting for FSSC 22000 to be GFSI apporoved so I have the standard (although it is version 5). A few pieces that indicate a structured management review should occur.

Section 1 - Senior Management Commitment
1.3 ...food safety and quality objectives are established, documented, monitored and reviewed.
1.5 The company's senior management shall take responsibility for the review process.
1.8 Records of management reviews shall be comprehesively documented and reviewed.
1.9 The decisions and actions agreed within the review process shall be effectively communicated to appropriate staff...

Nothing specific about face-to face but I would think it could be interpreted as that based on the wording.

I think these can be done without a face-to-face meeting.

As I gather there is no requirement of specific meetings towards management review in any standard.
Meetings are the most common things to happen (productive or otherwise) in many organizations and many many equate management review to management review meeting, and further management review records to management review minutes.
A review by the management can be done in many ways including a face to face meeting.
