Is there an Automotive Customer Complaint Index?

Dear all,

Out of curiosity, are Customers (car industry) more inclined to pass complaints now rather than say 10 years ago? I am thinking of the increased technical demands that follow from robotization and the increased ease to pass complaints that follow from modern digital management systems.
Is any one monitoring it? An index or such.

Generally the ones the OEMS watch closely and "manage to" are:
1) Consumers Reports
2) JD Powers
3) to a degree NHTSA

a bit more, given your ECove name...usually, the OEMs flow down such stuff as part of your external score card....warranty returns etc..etc..

Most definitely. Vision inspection is relatively cheap nowadays and OEMs are using it more heavily. I have seen changes myself in the last 6 years.
