Is there an Electronic Signature standard?

I'm trying to find a standard of what needs to be considered when using an electronic signature. I thought someone would be able to point me in the right direction to find one. I know certain considerations and safe guards need to be in place.

I'm not aware of any. Maybe one of the other folks will know. I *think* there may be some AS9100 or FAA or FDA or other regulatory 'requirements' for electronic signatures.
