But plese take a specific case of purchase of a new CNC operated milling machine to cater to customer needs, as it involves heavy investment, the purchase department needs to go through the approval process in detail before finally closing with the deal.

Hi Arindam,

You didnot specify the phase for buying of this costly equipment - is it in the Program phase (new Customer) or during mass production stage (when the Customer is already being serviced).

If this is a new customer, this would be definitely considered when your organisation submits the Quotation. Generally the quotes take into account all these costs - equipment, special areas, conversion cost, delivery costs etc.

If this is an existing Customer, your organisation needs to make a call if you need this customer.
