ISO 17020 and ISO 26000 - Has anyone implemented ISO 26000?

Hi there... not sure where to park this thread.

Has anyone implemented ISO 26000? Possible to share more infomation?
Also, anyone familiar with ISO 17020 to be accredited as a certification body in their own country?

ISO/IEC 17020 isn't for certification bodies, it's 17021. 17020 is for inspection bodies.
On the ISO 26000 front, I'm not sure that it's 'official' yet, for anyone to have had a chance to get implementation experience, but I'll let others speak to that...

As for ISO 26000, I read a thread ISO to develop a Guidance Document on Social Responsibility - some object. However, am not sure of the status now... wonder how many organisations have implemented this? Is there any statistic so far?

Not that I know of. It is critical to keep in mind that ISO 26000 is NOT a management system standard, like ISO 9001 and 14001. It is a GUIDANCE document and organizations don't "comply" with it, strictly speaking. I uploaded an audio podcast on ISO 26000 a few months ago. It is still available in this post. Further, ASQ announced recently the upcoming conference Pathways to Social Responsibility: Creating the Framework for a Better Tomorrow. That will be an opportunity for early adopters of ISO 26000 to share their experiences.

Need to clarify this... dont "comply" meaning the clauses as in the requirements are not required to be met? How can this be incorporated in the quality system then? So is this a certification or award?

BS 25999 has been available in the UK for some time (2006) so BSi might have some stats.

ISO 26000 is so much broader than a QMS. My suggestion to you is print a copy of the latest ISO 26000 DIS available for download in the other thread. But, be prepared; the document is very long, compared to a typical ISO standard.

I don't follow Andy. What does BS 25999 have to do with ISO 26000? The first is a business continuity document. The second is a guidance on social responsibility. Why would the stats related to BS25999 deployment be relevant to ISO 26000?
