ISO 17025 certification for Laboratory for online gambling products

I am looking for a way to obtain ISO 17025, for laboratory providing testing services of online gambling products (ie testing and certification of online casino slots). Work is done entirely digitally - there is (almost) no calibration involved, no testing machines, the entire procedure of testing the products is done on computers. ISO 17025 certificate is a must requirement for us to cover as a laboratory however - same as for any other standard land-based laboratories in other industries.

The problem is timing - I have contacted several European accredidation bodies to start the process, and all of them state that the certification period will take more than 1 year, due to the coronavirus. This keeping in mind the limited calibration involved in our testing services.

Wondering if any of you can advice on the matter with similar experience, perhaps also recommend accredidation body which can offer better timeframes for our industry. Thank you in advance!

The timings for getting accreditation certificate mainly depends on preparedness of the laboratory. Before filing application to accreditation agency, you need to complete necessary documentation and implementation of your Laboratory Quality Management System as per requirements of ISO/IEC 17025: 2017. This will be considered done, once you have completed one round of Internal Audit and Management review and actually have taken care that that auditing by accreditation agency will be smooth, without any major NC.

Please note that you laboratory will be considered in the Product Group of Software and IT Testing and in place of measuring equipment calibration, there would be some verification and validation requirements of software's.

Please let me know your current status of implementation. so that I can suggest you further.

Usually from the date of application it takes maximum 6 months to get the accreditation certificate in hand.
