Dear All Covers,:bigwave::bigwave::bigwave:

Good day.

I need a clarification regarding the sampling table. It's about single sampling. If I were to have a lot size of 500k pcs and G-I sampling, my sample M=315, AQL 1.5, Ac/Re: 10/11. I would like know what is the % rejection of this sampling. Is it 1.5% or else, guys can you help?

Thanks.

Regards,
Alyana

I am not sure I understand your question, but I will take a stab at it. If the lot being sampled contained 1.5% bad parts you would have about a 99% chance of accepting the lot with the sampling plan you mentioned.

Look at the operating characteristic curves and tables listed for the sampling plan you propose to use and it will tell you much.

:thanks: Mike,

Thanks for your reply. However in a case of 1.5% AQL, how many percent rejection is it. What does the 1.5% refers to.

Liyana

AQL is defined by ISO 2859 section 5 as follows:

When a specific value of the AQL is designated for a certain nonconformity or group of nonconformities, it indicates that
the sampling scheme will accept the great majority of the lots submitted, provided the quality level (percent
nonconforming or nonconformities per 100 items) in these lots is no greater than the designated value of AQL.

An AQL of 1.5%. Means that the sampling plan will accept a lot that has a defect rate of 1.5% 95% of the time that you sample it. So if you had a 100 lots that all had a defect rate of 1.5% (1.5% of the parts in the lot were defective; a lot with 500k pcs would have 7,500 defective parts) then you would only reject 5 of the 100 lots.
