ISO 9000 & e-commerce

Hi, I am investigating on 9000 ISO and electronic commerce, becasue is my thesis project.

Do you know any company of e-commerce who got the certification in ISO 9000?

Do you have some information about this?
Some useful internet sites?

Looked at the link, very interesting, they must have done a good job if there was absolutely no observations.

I have recently set-up a web company and i have been toying with the idea of registering it to ISO 9000. The reasoning is that with a website if you want to sell to the general public you have to overcome a credibility problem ie How do you persuade the general public 1000's of miles away to give you an order and possibly their credit card details. Displaying ISO 9000 certification is one way of doing it.

The problem is that the company is only 3 strong and only has one supplier, it really is a question if it is worth the bureacracy.

One other badge of credibility we are in the process of obtaining is something called Verisign. Im not actually sure what this qualifies us for. Ill get more info and come back to you.

If anybody else has anything to say please post it here as this is a new and interesting area. Has anybody assisted such a company to acheive registration?.
