ISO 9001:1994 Certificates of Compliance - Are any registrars extending these?

A quick question before I dive back to check up on a visitor....a colleague of mine heard a rumour that Registrars are looking at extending their timeline for issuance of "certificates of compliance" to ISO 900X:1994.

Have you heard of any extensions being proposed by registrars for companies that do not convert by dec 04 ? Rumour here is that it could be extended to june 05.

Has anyone heard anything to validate or negate this rumour?
