So long as it is within the date listed the certificate is still good. Yes, a majority of companies have transitioned to 2008. But if the registar is slow to issue the certificate then the company has no choice but to give you the 2000 certificate.
I know with my company we only recently obtained our certificate last week. I would just keep checking back with them to find out if and when they will obtain the 2008 certificate.

Hmmm, it doesn't look like other BVQI certificates I have seen. Here is 1 I just found on the Internet, http ://www.bioreactors. net/eng /ptemplate.php?img=iso.jpg&hedr=BVQI - DEAD 404 LINK UNLINKED

Certificate of approval I know it is out of date but it looks different.

I agree with Ted, as far as I am aware, accredited certification bodies should not have been issuing ISO 9001:2000 certs after November 2010.

Perhaps you could try contacting BVQI and asking them to verify that the cert is valid.

I also found several BVQI certificates online and none of them looks like the one I have. You might have discovered something for us...
