ISO 9001:2000 Cross reference matrix

There was some talk and suggestions of putting together a cross reference matrix for the 2000 standard. Haven't seen any more on this. Is anyone come up with a matrix yet?

Would suggest that you do not make it any more complicated than it needs to be.

Simply take the information in the back of the standards (where it shows Correspondence between ISO 2000 and ISO 1994) as they are now replace & identify with your numbering system for the procedures you have in place - on the 1994 side of the sheet.

I mentioned putting together a matrix to identify how/what information/data/results/etc.. required in some clauses were used as supporting reference to other clauses. The matrix goal is to simplify identification not complicate matters and it is quite different from the element/clause association matrix provided in the standard.

My plan was to work on that during my week 'off' the first week of this month. However, I was hurt early in that week and quite naturally...never started working on it.

When I came back to work I had a surprise waiting for me - Corporate changed our goal transition date from Jan 02 to Jan 03 (a welcome grace period). Consequently I've been cleaning up other work that had been pushed aside so I could concentrate on the transition project.

I still plan to do this matrix (I know it will help our staff out) but cannot provide a time frame for completion right now, unless, of course, someone beats me to it and graciously shares the results :)

I hope that's January 2002 and January 2003 and not Jan 2nd to Jan 3rd!

LOL Marc, Yes to Jan 2003. Otherwise it would have been more of a pain in the *tush* rather than 'welcome grace period'.
