ISO 9001:2000 Documentation - Necessary to "paraphrase the standards" in procedures?

I am now in the process of documenting the required specifications for the ISO9000:2000. Was it necessary to "paraphrase the standards" in all the required six procedures? Please comment.
Thanks in advance,

Personally, I do not think it's necessary to paraphrase the standard. Many people do ... and even ISO 10013 hints at it ... but I do not think it is necessary.

What IS necessary is to describe how your business processes - what you really do - meet the requirements and achieve the goals of the standard and your business.

It's just easiest to do it that way. Then add your references and you're practically finished.
