TAG Committee

is there any place I can find a list of TAG committe members here in the U.S. contributing to the new ISO 2000 Standard? I was approached by someone who claims to have personally written part of the standard.

Here is where to start, dbulak...

ISO's Technical Committee 176 is responsible for ISO 9000:2000 - see website at https://www.tc176.org/

The Committee Structure page - https://www.tc176.org/Structure.asp - will take you to the names of the main players.

If you can find out in which part of the structure (subcommittee, workgroup, etc.) your person works, you can check that the leader of that area knows him or her.

Here is another resource ...

US Standards Group on QEDS

ASQ is charged with administering committees on behalf of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Our committees can be grouped within four broad disciplines: Quality Management, Environmental Management, Dependability, and Statistics.

I did not find a list of names, but there is a "contact us" e-mail link. There are also links to other information on ISO 9000:2000 standards, ISO 14000, and TS 16949.

At this time, there is also a link to an online survey so you can send your input on the ISO 9000:2000 standards directly to the US TAG (technical advisory group) of ISO/TC 176.

My understanding is that the TAG (Technical Advisory Group) doesn't write the standard at all, but just reviews and comments on proposed text. The TC 176 (Technical Committee) actually writes it. I do know a couple of members of the TAG to TC 176 that may know how to find out if someone is involved though...

BTW, I have personally written parts of the standard also. I just did it after it was released.
