Q
I have questions about document and version control, as well as design control related to software.
In auditing ISO 9001:2008 elements 4.2.3, 4.2.4 Doc & rec control, and 7.3 design and development, the quality manual states:
“…project managers will establish procedures in project specific documentation for the control of computer software used to ensure software being developed, modified or used meets appropriate requirements. Project specific procedures will identify requirements or specification, documentation, review, verification, approval, and configuration control.”
The project plan states the name of software systems used for reporting software issues and resolution, and an open source software version control system is used capable of archiving.
I am not fining any lower level procedures that identify requirements or specification, documentation, review, verification, approval, and configuration control of the software.
Besides stating the names of the software programused, should there be more detailed procedures regarding documentation, review, verification, approval, and configuration control of the software listed in the projevt plan, as well as evidence that these requirements are being met?
Thx k
