Hello all,
I'm new to this forum. Just registered few minutes ago. I'm working in an insurance company which used to have a sales depertment only while now preparing to have a marketing depertment along with the sales. My company is also an iso certified company but we're are forming a new company now which will include this marketing department. I already have the processes and procedures of iso for sales but I don't have the iso processes and procedures of marketing.
I tried to find out in many websites but could not find till now.
I'm wondering if any one here can help me where to find it?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Regards,
:thanks:

Analyze your core process from end to end to determine your key processes and to identify their sequence and interaction.

Assign a competent person as the owner of each key process. :biglaugh:

Then work with that person to analyze and document each key process to the extent necessary for effective planning, operation and control.

Share your support processes from sales to also support (nurture and improve) the marketing core process.

Do not use "ISO procedures".

You can't find them because you're looking for something that doesn't actually exist.

There's no such thing as 'ISO procedures'. (The Standard does say that you need procedures where they are necessary for good management control, and it mandates them in 6 areas.)

What you need to do (as John says) is to work out what your marketing process (or processes) is and decide where and if procedures are required. If they are, you'll need to write them.

Hello Khalid,
I think you need to refer to the customer releated processes, clause 7.2, follow up all requirements which pertain to marketing & sales processes.

Abu Hashim,

I totally understand where you're coming from, and please let me explain to the rest the most common reason behind such a request from top management, which i have encountered in several organizations i have worked with as a consultant.

TOP MANAGEMENT are Misinformed, LAZY, and are taking decisions based on street knowledge and common heresay such as "ISO is Saying what you do, Writing what you say, then Doing what you write" which is most common in several of the organizations i encountered taking such a similar decision.

So, back to your question, which requirements should you exclude, hmmmm i would definitely say 7.6 unless you perform site surveying, 7.5.4 if you don't use any customer property, 7.5.2 "special Process", 7.3 "Design and Development" unless you prepare drawings for the customer or other design activities, please bare in mind that is just off the top of my head, and that it depends on what you sell.

I agree with the other opinions and would like to clarify to you, that in order to meet 9001 requirements, it is not enough to just prepare procedures and forms for what you're doing, the standard addresses an "Organization's" Management System, and hence by singling out each dept and applying it separately you will need to either prepare redundant documents for training, purchasing, and other support and management processes, or you will just have to cross the scope boundaries during the audit and go visit those other departments.

i hope this helped.

TAWFIK,

You are right about your opinion about the TOP MANAGEMENT-generally-perhaps at your area, but in our AREA, TOP MGT. are more aware about ISO9000, as excellence model focusing on customer and performance more than merely documentation.
I think you needn't to mislead givingthe right answer to the question asked by Khalid, at which he is asking about processes/procedure needed for M&S department.

thx :)

Who is TAWFIK? ... seeing your name is ABUHASHIM... i Said "Bel Tawfik" meaning good luck in Arabic, that's not my name!

What area? ...... i'm a consultant... i get to see all sorts of organizations ... none of which are "my area"

If your top management were really as you say, they would've never requested that a Quality Management System Standard Meant for "Organizations" to be implemented on a "Marketing and Sales Department" ... doesn't seem so customer focused to me

I think you needn't to mislead givingthe right answer to the question asked by Khalid
please explain "needn't to mislead giving the right answer" ... i have no idea what you mean

Who is Khalid? .... i thought you were the one asking the question
