ISO 9001:2015 8.5.6 and 7.5.3 Document Control Questions

Have you validated your machining process (including its inputs) so you do not have to inspect the resulting products? If so, now and in the future, treat these as special processes.

After all, verifying the output is little more than sorting the bad from the good.

This was a post about AndyN, and since he is not here anymore, could anyone else clarify me something?

No, it's not about document change control which is looked after elsewhere. The fundamental reason for change control in section 8 is that, once you've defined a process, put in place objectives, controls and measurement/monitoring, things shouldn't be allowed to change in an uncontrolled/unapproved manner. Yes, it does affect documents at some time, but that's incidental.

Wouldn´t the whole process of document control (approval, etc) of Procedures, Work Instructions and if you have, Process Diagrams or Process Descriptions, do exactly that (not allow change in uncontrolled/unapproved manner)?

Why create a new process to control change if it's already implemented in the Document Control processes, and documents describing the process?
