Example 2: the nonconforming situation is from a supplier and the lead time for the part/material is very long. Inform customers ASAP of potential delivery delays due to incoming bad product.
Deal with consequences. Risk ==> countermeasures.
Example 1: Is the nonconforming situation potentially lethal to users of the products? Have nonconforming products been shipped? If yes, and yes, URGENT RECALL to customers and distribution channels and notification of regulatory authorities.
Example 2: the nonconforming situation is from a supplier and the lead time for the part/material is very long. Inform customers ASAP of potential delivery delays due to incoming bad product.
