We do audit their processes. We audit the following: Product, Process, and Quality Management System. I'm covering the entire contractors quality system and evaluating compliance with approved contractual standard. Which, in this case, is ISO 9001:2000. What I'm tasked with doing, over and above routine process audits, is customer QMS audits, verifying that the QMS system in place, is contractual, functional, and meets all regulatory standards. i.e., If I do an audit on the contractors Quality System (which is set up to mirror the ISO standard) section 4.2.4- Control of Records- I'm into literaly hundreds of processes, so I usually focus that even further to say, Weld and Fabrication Process records keeping, or Test Records, etc, but I need to touch each portion of their QMS at least once every 18 months. And I have 4 contractors to do that with in 4 geographic locations with 5 different major contracts. Quite a challenge. Currently I'm developing the schedule in EXCEL, linking it to the database in ACCESS, which is where our audit packages are generated, then ensuring that that ACCESS database talks to another ACCESS datbase to ensure it pops up on the schedule, then ensuring all activity is documented in yet another, Oracle based system for accomplishment and Corrective Actions documentation and tracking.
Fun times.
I was just looking to see if there was a predeveloped EXCEL or ACCESS product out there so I can try to simplify things a tad. Thanks for trying though. I am reading through this forum gathering as many ideas as I can use.
