ISO 9001 Certification from US Defense Supply Center with no expiry date

That's interesting, as a consultant friend of mine is having great results and success with implementing ISO 9001 and AS 9100 with DoD suppliers.

Good for him and it's the right path, but as with any organization including the DoD you have old ways of doing things be it right or wrong. I did introduce them to the CAR process and how if implemented right would solved some of their problems.

Again this was a users group and not the Pentagon so take it for what it's worth. By the way isn't there an old saying that "The past repeats itself"?

I don't know how old this thread is or if my information is stall valid; but, here goes: DESC was once in Dayton. One of its supplier auditors was Chris Shillito. When he started EAGLE Registrations, he entered into an MOU with DESC. They would do supplier audits; EAGLE would hold the cert information. DESC was moved to Columbus. EAGLE did not have expiration dates on their certs, as well. If someone is still following this thread, I hope this helps.
