Wrapped up the stage 1 audit this afternoon. All went well and I'm ready to move on to stage 2!

The Stage 1 review did not identify any non-conformances. The QMS seems fully implemented throughout the two facilities. There does not appear to be any significant obstacles to prevent the Stage 2 audit to be completed in September as scheduled. Good job by all involved in this effort. It is the opinion of the Lead Auditor that the Organization is ready for certification to ISO 9001:2008
Well done! We understand the feeling you must be experiencing, at the top of the world, coupled with a sigh of relief one gets after a long ordeal. 'Euphoria' is the word IMO.
Do not drop your guards because of the initial achievement. You still have a long way to go. Your team may become over confident, thereby apathy and/or lithargy sets in. The fifth 'S' Shitsuke (sustain) is needed to be maintained.
Just thought I would bump my old thread here and let everyone now that with much thanks to the information/people on the Cove I have successfully implemented a certified QMS to ISO 9001:2008. This was my first implementation and my first exposure to ISO.
It has been a long road and at times I felt that there is now way it would be successful, but thankfully management stepped up and backed the system and we persevered and accomplished a huge milestone.
