prestigious CB with worldwide representation said:
Under the new requirement, certification bodies are not allowed to issue a certificate to an organization where Minor Nonconformities have been raised until it has reviewed and accepted the organization's plan to correct the issue in question.
ISO 17021:2006 said:
The certification body shall confirm, prior to making a decision, that... it has reviewed and accepted the client's planned correction and corrective action for any other nonconformities
I think they said they'd do exactly what ISO 17021 requires. They'll hold up the certification until the plan has been reviewed and approved.

Well, well, well.

My organization is now officially a casualty of the transition to 17021. I can't give too many details at this stage as there still might be legal action arising but PM me for the gory details.

The CB I did work for has been suspended and my company has had its contract cancelled as a result.

The transition process has been a nightmare from start to finish and IMHO it reflects badly on UKAS - does anyone else have some information on CBs worldwide that didn't get through the transition process? We believe UKAS has gone out on a limb to play tough but all the dodgy UK based CBs seem to have automagically got through the process .

Anyone need to hire a quality, environment, health & safety systems specialist with time on their hands? BTW it's not a fire sale :lmao:.

ANAB has withdrawn accreditation from a fair number of CB's also. It also looks like a few threw themselves on the sword and voluntarily withdrew accreditation on their own:
