Hey I've got a copy of the draft second ed. 2002-03-01 This is a fairly sure this is what will be released,36 pages. Actually I have decided to work with this std. for my plant.:bigwave:

Mr. Swappyd - I think it is too soon for sanctioned interpretations to come out yet with the standard just being released in March. Perhaps, by late summer or early fall....

Greg - if your TS document says it is a draft, then it is NOT what has been released. Even though the released version is very similar to the draft, there have been some changes that you should know about.

Hi,
Do you think there will be any earth shattering changes? I would hope this draft is 95% firm. I will how ever build into the systems here cushion for change. Do you know of any major change for TS? I would really like to know. I received last week my copy of the draft. :) Because I am doing 2 systems at once I want to be sure.

Greg - you can buy the released version from www.iso.ch and go to the "Standards" section. You can buy a .pdf version from them for 116 Swiss francs. Howard Atkins also identified another site you can buy it from (Australia, I believe).

Sanctioned interpretations

There are sanctioned interpretations in www.iaob.org However, they relate to the 1999 Edition of TS-16949.

Nevertheless, I would think it would be the natural place to search for "sanctioned interpretations" to the 2002 version too, later on.

Just the thought of someone asking for the existence of sanctioned interpretations related to a document that is less than a month old makes me wonder if the people writing the documents ever heard the cliche' "do it right the first time". After all, the better written the documents, the fewer interpretations we would need.:frust:

Thanks guys,
I have the TS 1999 edition as well as the newer draft. There is really no big change, just getting people on same page with the lingo:D :bigwave: I will check out the 2 web sites. Power is knowledge, but shared Knowledge.........

Anyone that has access to the Ford web can download the latest copy from the RLIS library.

"Do it right first time" is only applied with the phrase "Do as I say not as I do"

:biglaugh:

The time it has taken between the issue been finalised and going to print, just made me wonder if there had been and sancitions.

Shades of QS-9000 in its early years. What a nightmare...
