ISO/TS 16949:2009 Quality Manual Requirements - Audit Nonconformance

I got NC about QM. detial is "Company has Quality manual (QM-01)Rev.00 (1 Apr'10) and Procedure to control system but Quality manual should be add more topic to relate with Procedure.

When I interpretation of requirement 4.2.2 Quality Manual.

I estabish QM follow by this clause 4.2.2.

However, my QM have only 10 pages. At the same time other company more than 30 pages.

I don't like to copy QM from some company.
But finally I receive NC. :(

If this is the actual statement of the NC, then this is not a good non-conformity - it is purely opinion.

Let us know if it is the ACTUAL wording of the NC and if this is a CB auditor writing this...:popcorn:

Yes It's actual wording for auditor. I copy and paste to borad.

When I opened requirement to show him. he don't care.

If your quality manual meets the requirements of 4.2.2, your auditor is wrong and you should appeal the NC to your CB.

In my country. I never seen to which company to appeal the NC to CB.
Yes. I always see customer complint to CB about performance of auditor.

But, where is the "shall"?
It seems to me more an observation such as opportunity for improvement...:bonk:
The auditor did not explain well and the verbiage too is uncorrect.
Did he refer to the 7 mandatory procedures to be included in QM or what else?
He also wrote "should" in the statement...:bonk:
You should appeal this ncn, agree with the other expert Covers:bigwave:

Yes. I always see customer complint to CB about performance of auditor.
If they are an IATF recognized CB, they are required to have a process for handling appeals:
TS Rules 3rd Edition said:
2.8 Appeals and complaints

The certification body shall have a process for addressing appeals from the client and complaints from any interested parties. The process shall include the following activities where appropriate:
a) receiving, validating, investigating,
b) determining the root cause,
c) ensuring that any appropriate correction and systemic corrective actions are taken,
d) providing progress reports with identified timing and responsibilities,
e) maintaining the records of appeals, claims and actions taken.

The certification body shall ensure that adequate resources are available and the persons engaged in the process are different from those who carried out the audits and made the relevant certification decisions.
