ISO/TS 16949 Document Retention Guidelines

How can i get the ISO/TS 16949 retention guideline for Documents can any body help me pls or if any body has a copy will u share pls

Welcome to the Cove. As has been established in this thread, there is no specific guideline document that addresses document retention requirements. ISO/TS 16949 says:

4.2.4
The organization shall establish a documented procedure to define the controls needed for the identification, storage, protection, retrieval, retention and disposition of records.
4.2.4.1
The control of records shall satisfy statutory, regulatory and customer requirements.

Section 6 (page 21) of the AIAG PPAP manual, 4th edition, gives retention requirements for PPAP records.

Other than that, there are no specific requirements.

About the Automotive = 15 years record retention request, I defined it in our spec for the important quality related record, like APQP record. And my colleague asked me where the "15 years" come from, I can not find the industry standard or other credible source of it. Anyone can help for this?

The only record retention time specified is located in the AIAG PPAP manual that spells out retention times for PPAP records: "The length that the part is active plus one calendar year."

Other applicable record retention times are determined by your organization taking in consideration customer and legal requirements.

As Stijloor said, you should make reference to the laws and regulations of your country. In your record control procedure you shall establish qualilty records and the criteria for your organization to meet 4.2.4 and 4.2.4.1 clauses of the standard.
The 15 years you are citing come from regulation applicable in EU and US market in relation to the product liability in case of an issue applicable to a component equipped on automotive , for which the maker is responsible.
In this case we are talking about the supplied product and the concept can be extended to the whole supply chain.
The topic is related to the strict liability ; in the case an damage is provoked by a defective product, the maker shall demonstrate to have done all to create a safe product and demonstrate it by means of quality product record.
I remember that the maker is responsible for 10 years of the product ( a longer period of 15 for auto sector, more critical), to pay in case of damage. Based upon this , the product quality record should be retained in this time frame by the organization to be sure to demonstrate the best practices adopted in case of an accident in eventual litigation in a trial.
