ISO Urgent Release Issue - Positive Recall

DonkeyKong

I know it exists somewhere, but where is it stipulated that a control feature must exist (tracking, traceability etc...) for product that is released for "urgent release"...I'm having a brain block on this one...I think it pertains to the new Measurement and monitoring of Product section in ISO 2k...but I just can't seem to put it together....8.2.4?....

Any ideas.....:frust:

good memory!

8.2.4 is the clause you're looking for, although it doesn't expressly mention "urgent release".

It does say that "product release and service delivery shall not proceed until the planned arrangements have been satisfactorily completed, unless (and this is what you're looking for..) otherwise approved by a relevant authority and, where applicable, by the customer.

The only tracking that I know of would be the part that precedes this one and calls for "records shall indicate the person(s) authorizing release of product".

Correct !!

Yep - 8.2.4 - would be the relevant section to the relationship you have posted.. - Same task requirement- different wording

Appears that it has been "Clarified" by elimination of "Urgent Release" direct wording usage as it was presented in the 94 version.

Dear Sir

This is similar to positive recall mentioned in the old standard.
When the material is released under positive recall the it should be identified if there is any deviation. This is the one for urgent release
