ISO9001 vs. TS16949

Hello!
Greetings from Finland! Could someone be nice and shortly discripe the differences between the ISO9001:2000 and valid TS16949? Do we still need to use PPAP, APQP and so on as QS9000 reiquired? I'm just starting a TS16949-project and feel a little bit lost. Thank you in advance!

Fully vaccinated are you?

PPAP and all that will be required by your customers so essentially there will be no change in the requirements when considered as a whole.

I hope this makes sense, but QS-9000 and TS-16949 are interchangeable in that you can decide which one you want to use. I am talking automotive.

The new TS will be based on the ISO-900/2000 version while automotive will accept QS-9000 based on the 1994 version of ISO 9000.

I know you didn't ask for technical advice, but as a personal opinion I would go for TS-16949-2002.

Just my opinion!
