I have just received a letter stating that our company needs to be in compliance with ISPM 15 by Sept. 16th. After reading several topics on this issue, I was hoping there was some discussion on this topic. Has there been any discussion and if so, where can I find it?
Thanks,

To my knowledge, ISPM15 deals with packaging for international shipping. Are you in the export group at Eaton? Is the letter from one of your export customers or from a supplier trying to get you to buy presswood pallets? There are some consultants pushing ads to companies hoping to get a bite. It would be my guess Eaton Corp is probably already in compliance with ISPM15. Check with your corporate export department.

Thanks for the reply! I am checking company policy and procedures at this time.

Just finished dealing with this myself. It started with a GM plant in Mexico we supply to, and now it appears that all the Americas and the EU are in on this. You'll need to show your wood packaging products supplier this material, though they likely are already very much aware of this situation. In our case, our supplier already knew of this, and was taking steps for compliance. We recieved our first pallets last week, and have taken photos to send GM to show compliance. Looks like it's going to add $1 US or so to packaging costs.

It started with PACCAR with us. We ship a lot to Mexico and other countries.
