Sorry!! My mind has switch to ISO9001:2015. You all are correct that under ISO9001:2008 Internal Audit is a process and should have KPIs.
No problemo LUV-d-4UM. That's why we're here. To keep each other focus on the intent and principles of the management standards. Although we can differ in approaches and styles.:bigwave:

Does anybody could share thoughts about KPI for the auditing process?
I have defined 2.

1 compliment of the scheduled audits.
2 Quantity of findings in each process maximum = 2.

But it seems for me that 2nd KPI, it is not too much useful for the Auditing process, since nc's belong to the audited process, not to the auditing process.

Any Idea on this issue?

The one that means the most to us is repeat findings. If I issue a corrective action, the root cause, corrective action plan and initial follow-up should be robust enough that we will not be seeing the issue again. After all, the whole point is to identify the real cause of the issue and ensure that it won't happen again, right?

Regardless of our best intentions, there are instances where it can recur (such as willful disregard for a process, or lack of managerial oversight)...this is a given and is reality. But aside from anomalies like this, fewer repeat findings over time give an indication of better root cause analysis and effective action plans.

Re: KPI for audit process?

Remember for KPI's, "You get what you measure".
Measuring "findings" as a KPI will drive that number, probably not the best idea.
How about "findings corrected"?
I have recently been working on this KPI as well. I try to have at least one measure for every process listed in my IOP.

I agree 100% that measuring findings will drive the number. I have the # of findings listed, but simply for part of the calculations. The only thing I actually measure for Internal Audits is whether or not they were resolved.

Dear Sir
I need to help to get some guide about below items.
What are the K’s?
1. KRI = Key Result Indicators they tell you how you have done in a perspective or Critical Success Factor (CSF) and generally broader period of time than a Key Performance indicator
2. RI = Result Indicator tells you what you have done
3. PI = Performance Indictor Tell you what is working
4. KPI = Key Performance Indicators Tell you by blending the PIs what to do more of

I need some example to describe the specific of each indicator
Could you please help me?

Just a "rose by any other name". You can call it KRI, RI, PI or KPI as long as it "smells as sweet".

Although there is no exact terminology that reads "PERFORMANCE INDICATOR" in ISO's vocabulary, the definitions on ISO 9000:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 can provide additional guidance:
ISO 9000:2015 3.7.8 PERFORMANCE - measurable result;
ISO 14001:2015 3.4.7 INDICATOR - measurable representation of the condition or status of operations, management or conditions.​
