Hi - I am looking for some ideas / suggestions regarding the purchase of labeling software to be used in production to print product (med device) labels and packaging labels.
The current process used is that labels are created in an excel spreadsheet. These labels have serial numbers that have part of the number to be used typed in - the spreadsheet is set so that a specific number of labels to be used can be chosen from a pre-set tab.
Additionally, many of these labels obviously have text and symbols - which we believe were at one time created using paint and jpegs to create the labels.
We are having issues when production goes to the shared drive to print - many of the graphics are distorted - look fine on screen but when they reach the printers in production they become distorted.
Had a salesperson here who stated that the zebra printers are waiting for information from a compatible software program and when it gets the excel label, it can not be read correct hence, distorted labels.
Does anyone have any suggestion or advice to an "easy to use" software program that will work with our zebra printers. These labels are black text / white labels only used in production - the color labels used on the devices are received from outside vendor so no problems with those.
We have heard of bartender software, zebra software but not sure of others - your advice / experiences will be much appreciated!! Happy Memorial Day weekend - 3 days off YEAH!!!
