Hello gents.
I am using Mic Trac 4000, up to 36" length for our in house calibrations. I wonder what you or other shops are using, or how you calibrate large outside mics? 24" and up. I
Place I used to work had a small crane with the chain that would hold Micrometer in the place vertically. Gagemaker procedure for calibration calls to have it place vertically, but the sales rep told me to use support arm and place it horizontally. What really is pissing me off is that reading vertically is so much different then when taking the same reading horizontally(using their support arm). Then trying to move to the next point on the scale, just as a single tech in the lab, it's almost impossible.
Does anyone else uses Mic Trac MT4000? How do you like it?
