Hello Everybody,

I want to learn more about uncertainties. Anyone which is a good book? Good software or freeware? Or good training?

Cheng,
There are many software available in the market. But before using them, you may want to strengthem your theory. See other threads in this forum on uncertainty. There are many useful information.
Here is my suggestion for a reference:
https://qualitypress.asq.org/perl/catalog.cgi?item=H1112
The Uncertainty of Measurements: Physical and Chemical Metrology: Impact and Analysis,Kimothi, S. K.

I have not read the recent ASQ release" The Metrology Handbook"by Bucher, Jay.
This book says in the content that it contains Measurement Uncertainty.

"The Metrology Handbook" is quite new. I just got a copy last week after being on order for several months. It has a chapter on uncertainty that I'm sure you will find useful. Another resource is the book "Evaluating The Measurement Uncertainty" by Ignacio Lira. I got my copy at Amazon.com

You might also do a web search for European co-operation for Accreditation EA-4/02 for a downloadable document. Also the A2LA has an uncertainty document that can be downloaded.

Thanks for all your help.

The infos are very useful. Is the pdf file downloadable? Because I can only read on the screen or print it out, can't save. Is that normal?

Do you have to have a full version of Adobe to be able to save it?

I have Acrobat version 6 and have already saved both of them. I can email them if I have an address. Before I had Acrobat I used to be able to save pdf files through my explorer.

Thanks to members for providing additional links on Uncertainty.

Any one come across Video, Interactive Web based training on Measurement uncertainty?
