Actually, yes. One of the ISO 17025 accreditation bodies publishes guides that REDUCE your work if you use ISO, ASTM or other "established" test methods.
you read my previous post about the QM so if you opened the attachment you probably saw exactly what you say about a lot of QMs. I did that on purpose...
A lot of people do that. A lot of people go to the other extreme with a one page manual, plus attachments.
I think there's a better way. Your quality manual should contain whatever information you would need to understand the system if you were to suffer an attack of amnesia tomorrow. It shouldn't be the whole system, but it should be a good map of it.
