I am trying to get an idea of how many US suppliers are working to meet the Chrysler deadline of July 2004, for registration to TS16949:2002. Thanks for any information you can provide.

I can't speak for the masses but, based on the activity I've seen on the cove and the schedules of the registrars I'd say 85%. However, I have spoken to a representative at one company who said though they need to be TS16949:2002 their going to hold off and see how loud DaimlerChrysler screams before they allocate any funds.
I guess it comes down to how much business you get from DaimlerChrylser and if you are willing to take a chance on ignoring their request for certification.

That's just it. I want to find out how long we can push it off. It might be easier to learn from a large number of companies making the effort at the same time, rather a few companies which seems to be the case now.
