Just wanted to see if anyone had feedback on how they have used (or not used) record logs in an eQMS. We are currently transitioning from a paper system to an eQMS. We have some logs (e.g., ECO log, CAPA log, complaint log) which essentially list out date opened/closed, title, and assign an identification number to each record. When we transition to the eQMS all of the actual records (ECOs, CAPAs, complaints) will be in the eQMS. So do we still need to maintain the logs, since we can search in the eQMS? And if we do keep logs, would they still be on paper? Any considerations as we make the transition?
