In college we used to say that the chemical engineers developed the explosives that went into the bombs that the mechanical engineers developed and used the guidance systems developed by electrical engineers to destroy the targets that the civil engineers built.

But seriously this is not a mutually exclusive or fully inclusive list. So the reason for the limited choices is not clear.

Mechanical Engineering - You can get a real job that has more potential across many organizations with it.

If you are thinking about employment, look for what AI won't be able to do in the next 30 years (hint: hardly anything).
Get involved in activities that promote a better future for everyone, regardless of occupations, because you are more likely than not to be unemployable in the foreseeable future (like the majority of people) - regardless of your abilities.
Added in edit: I am a qualified and experienced mechanical engineer and an uncertified, experienced quality professional.

Well, given the many diseases that are invisible and get on your hands readily…the signs in hospitals and other places that direct/remind you to wash your hands are probably more effective than waiting to see simple dirt.
(Note: I’m not a CQE and have been quite vocal about the weakness of the things taught by the CQE BOK)
