Can't answer your question but maybe this helps. Look for a supplier that is certified to ISO 17025 and the scope covers the equipment you mention. Ensure they are approved by an accredited body (ANAB, A2LA). This should likely be available on their website. You should also be able to ask for references!

Hello Yodon,

I got quote from Supplier Side, it charges me $ 400 for one tensile machine calibration
do you think it make sense ?

or do you have any general cost idea ?

Thanks a lot.

I don't know tensile test calibration cost (likely both motion and load cell to calibrate)...but I do know that much of the fee for on-site calibration is covering travel time...
Consider grouping multiple items together and see if the cost per gage goes down quite a bit...
We would typically have 100-200 gages calibrated per on-site visit.

Hello Ninja,

Thanks a lot .
however, we are just a start-up company, only have few tools to calibrate now.

Understood and normal,

FWIW, at $100/hr (guess)...
1hr to get there
30min to do entry paperwork & Covid screen
30min to calibrate the unit
1hr to go back home
30min recordkeeping and time logging after the fact
+$50 profit for a small job

$400 doesn't seem out of reason, if anything it seems a bit low to me...
