Hi all,

it has been ages since i was inhere last time (forum tells me sept. 2004 :o )

Fact is i have switches companys also also industries from Automotive to Consumer Goods. In my new industry Quality and QM for that matter, are rather new, hence one of the reasons why they hired me to help them get their systems and process set-up, specifically in the purchasing dept. as we deal alot with asian/pacific suppliers which need alot development. In light of that, i am looking for rather basic training material such as "What is Quality?" kind of presentations and stuff. Can anybody help me to find such basic docs? To be fair and honest, in automotive, i never had to pull this kind of stuff onto the screen so i am a little puzzled on how to explain these kind of things on such a basic level.

Any help is much appreciated.

Regards, Dominique

You can try a forum search on this site. I recall the US ASQ site having a link to Quality 101, or something similar. I recall there being some white papers that were free and could be printed. www.asq.org.

Dominique,

Here is one of my presentations on this very subject. Save it as a Powerpoint Presentation and then review the instructor notes. I hope it helps. have you done a search?

and here is the thread it comes from

It is important (IMHO) to review what context something was posted. Enjoy.

Hello Greg, thanks for your post. Yes, i did a search through the forum but didn't come up with anything useful. On the other hand, i cannot seem to open your attachement but i guess this has more to do with the fact that although i revalidated my registration, i still seem to be in "inactive" state. Odd, i need to check this one out.

Anyways, many thanks for your efforts, Greg and Qualitygoddess.
