We are trying to do our PSO and some other things here and are looking for a EC process flow that would address feasibility, Revision updates of documents etc... For a metal stamping or similar production process. Any help or examples would be appreciated.

Acronyms without reference - Grrr!

I, for one, have no idea what you mean by a PSO or EC, regardless of what I may think them to mean.

Sorry, our customer is requiring us to submit a Process sign-off (PSO) to DCx's PSO manual, part of the PSO requires a procedure to be in place "to assure correct part number and revision level as changes occur." This sounds like Engineering Changes (EC). So I am looking for an example of a flow that people might use to follow these EC's so I can write a procedure for us here. The flow is to help get the creative juices flowing. If someone has a procedure for EC's that would be helpful too.

:topic: Why is it that it is so hard sometimes for management to relate to the "Quality" management system as a quality "Management System"? For CSR, QMS, and other requirements related to quality it seems to become my baby. I feel like I am learning every discipline in order to make things work sometimes. Preventive Maint, Engineering Change control, Doc control, Process control, Inventory control, Tracibility, shipping and receiving, contract review, ordering materials, design (though we are not design responsible ha ha right), and the list goes on.

As you describe what Daimler is seeking, it appears they want you to assure them you have a tight Configuration Management process in place. Google the term both here in the Cove and then on the internet.

Similarly, google the terms: "Engineering Change" and "Engineering Change Order" for terms, processes, forms, etc.

Both Configuration Managagement and Engineering Change are very common procedures/processes throughout industry.

The proliferation of acronyms for things associated with Engineering Change will include
ECO [order]
ECR [request]
ECP [procedure/process]
ECS [system]
DCO, etc. [D=design]
CCO, etc. [C=customer]

Configuration Management is much more elaborate than Document Management and usually requires input from someone completely aware of the "big picture" in an organization.

After you google and read, come back with specific questions.
