Is it really about control???
We use the term "Quality Improvment Storyboard" (QIS). I would prefer to remove the world "Quality" and perhaps replace it with "Process" but the acronym would generate too many giggles.
Either way, I definitely prefer the use of the word "Improvement" over "Control". It is amazing how much of an impact words can make on how a tool is used and understood.
We have a sign out front that is used to welcome visitors and put up cute little inspiration slogans. This month is "Continual change." I hate it. It conjures up images of 'flavour-of-the-week' and constant changing-of-minds.
Are your stories trying to control something?...or improve something?
