Machine Setup for a CNC Machine Capability Study

Hi, I am trying to conduct a machine capability study (Cmk) for a CNC machine, anyone can advise on how to prepare the machine for the test? (eg. machine setup verification, suitable time to do it, how to collect the samples)

I am hoping anyone can share on case study on machine capability study (results and analysis and machine setup), just for reference to prepare myself for the study.

I suggest reading through my blogs "Statistical Process Control for Precision Machining". Make sure you get past (and understand how long) your warmup. Then, chart X hi/lo-R data throughout the run. A linear regression of the data past warmup will give you your tool wear rate.
