Does anyone know what would happen to the status of our QS9K certification if we would happen to get a major non-conformance during our upgrade to TS? Our current QS9K certification expires in October and our intial TS audit is scheduled for next week. We have some concerns regarding some of our capability issues and think the auditor may have the same concerns.

In order for your QS certificate to stay valid, you must "pass" each of the six-monthly continuous assessments. If your TS audit is scheduled between continuous assessments, then failing the TS will not affect QS. If, however, the QS continuous is due (or overdue), then your QS certificate will lapse regardless of the TS outcome. Your registrar should answer this question for you, however.
