Major Nonconformance on Stage 2 Audit causes to start over Stage 1?

In the Rules 3rd ed. 5.9 Audit findings:
Major nonconformities may provide a basis for termination of the audit by the audit team leader ... If a stage 2 audit is terminated, the client shall start over with a stage 1 audit.

If a major NC is issued in the closing meeting, and stage 2 on-site audit is not terminated by the audit team leader, then what to do ? start over with a stage 1 audit?

Thanks!

No.
There is a time period within which you are required to address the major NC and send the response to the CB. On review of the response, the CB may recommend for certification or post a special assessment on that limited scope, to verify before recommendation.

Agree.
In case of major ncn the registrar plans to held an additional on site audit to verify the plan that the organization has submitted and related progress. The recommendation is suspended in this case. In case of high number of major ncnc, the registrar can also not to recommend the organziation.
