Re: Management Review Meetings - Auditor issued an Area of Concern regarding our meth
We organize management review meeting meeting but lately realized from the discussion that the meetings are not mandatory requirements. What other options (or mades) do we have for management reviews?
Well - almost anything that works for you and that can be demonstrated to meet the relevant requirements. What will work for you vs what might work for someone else will depend on all kinds of things, including the size, nature and type of organisation.
For example, some that are geographically diverse have 'teleconferences' although that's really another kind of meeting. Some use electronic systems very effectively, including wikis, sharepoint, etc. etc. to post documents, reports, etc, so that various people with access & authority can see them, and then comment if they wish to (sometimes by exception rather than always). Records in their case are available by audit trail logging who logged in & accessed what document. Some delegate off consideration of various imputs to the relevant manager, and then only have top management get a summary of results and involved when required by escalation/exception.
As was said earlier - try to think "outside the box". I'd advocate going back to basic principles: re-read the relevant clause & sub-clauses in 9001... & then think (better yet, have a discussion with other people in your organisatin) about how might or could it work better in your context?
