Hi - I hope this is a simple question, but I have not found it easy to get concrete answer on this.
When the isolation requirements are being specified there is a lot of mention of mains working voltage in the tables. I do not know know if this is the maximum voltage which might be seen. For European 230V mains this is 253V. But say, for the US and Canada I believe the maximum can be 254V. However medical power supplies seem to be specified to 264V. which is 240V +10%..
I think in 60601 the maximum voltage is taken to be 250V, but I need some clarification. I hope someone can help.
